Quality Control Circle (QC Circle) activities are grassroot quality activities launched by employees where quality control theories and measures are used in improvement and innovation. QC Circle Activities are effective methods for enterprises to implement TQM ideas and achieve quality improvement. Besides, they can also raise quality awareness, foster craftsmanship, wield employees’ wisdom and realize their own values. Since its introduction in 1978, with the efforts from CAQ, QC Circle Activities have been developing to keep up with Reform and Opening Up and contribute to quality and performance improvement. Thereafter, they have become the grassroot activities of quality improvement and innovation with the widest coverage, the most participants, the longest duration, the greatest effects and the strongest vigor.
